Continuous blood chemistry, through the port patients already have.

Prolepsis Health is developing an implantable monitor that reads key blood biomarkers in real time, starting with oncology patients who have central venous ports.

Blood data is slow, periodic, and reactive.

For a patient in active cancer treatment, the gap between a blood draw and a decision can be hours or days, and every test means another needle and another clinic visit.

Start where the access already exists.

Oncology patients with implanted ports already have safe, direct access to the bloodstream. Building on that access removes the hardest problem in this field: getting a sensor safely to the blood.

We are starting with lactate and core metabolic markers, then building toward a broader implant platform. The goal is continuous data with fewer needle sticks and clinic visits, not replacing the full lab panel.

Why now

01

A category with no incumbent

No continuous, in-body blood chemistry monitor exists today. The space between consumer wearables and the lab is open.

02

Care is shifting to prevention

Value-based care rewards catching problems early, before they become ER visits and hospital admissions.

03

The enabling tech is arriving

Sensor miniaturization and better analytics make continuous internal monitoring plausible in a way it was not a decade ago.

04

A narrow, safe starting point

Port-bearing oncology patients give us existing vascular access, a clear clinical need, and a focused population to prove the science first.
